We, at rtCamp, have been maintaining Transcoder a video solution for WordPress for 9 years. Transcoder was mainly developed for rtMedia which was focused around BuddyPress.
Over the years, we have received a lot of feedback from our users, but Transcoder’s narrow vision was limiting us to execute on it. Thus, we are today releasing a new solution for a much wider audience in the form of GoDAM.
GoDAM is a Hindi/Bengali word which means warehouse. We have a vision to make GoDAM as a warehouse for all your digital assets, including images, videos, audio, and PDFs. Thus, departure from Transcoder.
Like Transcoder, GoDAM has SaaS components for video transcoding service but packs many media related features that you can use without subscription, completely free, inside WordPress.
